Beer Bottle Shower
Chinese farmer Ma Yanjun rigged up a hot show for his “ma”. It involves 66 beer bottles attached to a board and connected with plastic tubing so that water flows slowly through them. Not only does his mother get a hot shower every day using this device, so do the three members of his family. And, more than 10 other families have installed their own versions of Ma’s invention. Ingenious idea. However with his brilliance and ingenuity you’d think he would use the dark brown bottles. They’d absorb more heat and therefor transfer heat to the water faster. Sure makes me glad for the natural gas piped to my water heater that I take for granted though. Brilliant!

Definitely a novel idea, but I think I’ll stick with my tankless water heater for now.
